Starting today (1/4/2022), whenever I click on a news article in the New Tab page, the Microsoft Start page is displayed instead. How do I stop that from happening?

Thank You! I following your first set of instructions - The reset stopped the Microsoft Start from showing up the next time I clicked an article of interest.

A new instance of Edge just opened up on top of my previous window. It had only the New Tab page displayed. I tried clicking on articles and it is working now from there. Using that instance I reopened the tabs I had in the non-working copy of Edge, then closed the non-working copy of Edge. Clicking articles in New Tab now no longer brings up the Microsoft Start page, but only brings up the clicked article.
