Starting today (1/4/2022), whenever I click on a news article in the New Tab page, the Microsoft Start page is displayed instead. How do I stop that from happening?

I will not be using Edge any more.
Brave is much more easy to use, and it is polite enough to pay attention to what I want a browser to do!

Keep it up I'm going to just pay extra for the Apple (same form of concubine/**** compony )but at least a different name). You're like the Walmart of computer companies. Just wanted you to know.

2022-01-21T22:02:00+00:00 The whole app is irritating. Especially when you're in the middle of a project and up it pops. No way to get around it. Wish there was a way to disable it. If I want the news, I know how to find it.
