How do I highlight PDFs in the new Microsoft Edge

We understand your concern as you are unable to find the PDF text highlighter in New Edge chromium browser. We checked this feature, currently not available and we’re working on and that you can expect to see in the next few months. 1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Now click on the Ellipses (…) on the right hand corner.
3. Click on Help & Feedback and select Send Feedback

With this option I have to select every single sentence, one by one, and right-click every time I want to highlight. There used to be an option where you could select a highlighter and highlight the text just by clicking on it, because the cursor was now a highlighter. Can you bring that back please? :(

We would like to inform you that text highlighter feature for PDF files is introduced in Edge Chromium.

In order to enable the feature, please perform these steps.

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Type in address bar Edge://flags and press Enter key.
3. Search for Enable Text Highlights for PDF flag. Change it to Enable.
4. Restart Edge and open a PDF document in Edge.
5. Select the text and right click to select Highlights. Choose the color that you prefer.

Hello,

There is really something wrong with this new edge.

It is not user friendly at all. Regarding text highlighting in PDF files: earlier it was simply enough to check the text and small additional window pop uped near the checked text where were small shortcuts to "Highlite", "Note" and so on as well as short explanation of word from dictionary. Now it disappeared. :( 

Please give it back! Can't understand why it was removed. It was so easy to add, manage highlites, notes through this automatic pop up window. Also it would be good to have somewhere in sttings capability to set predefined highlight colour in order not to choose the same one every time...

I am using Surface and I am using this Highlight function a lot. It's quite upset me that this new version just deletes of function and make user experiences even worse... Now I have to find to download another extension to install. I already sent feedback to Microsoft dev team. Hope they will call back of those Highlight function back. I prefer previous version of MS Edge browser ...

Just install XODO app. It's free and way better user experiences compare to new Chromium version.

Its okay to right-click on the text to change between colours, but why shall the user do it everytime....? Also there is no "undo" button (and control-Z doesnt work), even if the menu panel is almost empty.... To me it looks like Microsoft is trying to give the user mouse arm... Also when you shall save your edited pdf-file it asks you if you shall save over the original document - each time you save....

This version of Edge wasn`t finished when released or?
