Please help.

I haven't been able to find a way to work with a signed-in Edge account. It only works with not-signed-in Edge profiles. The script will now display an error message and then exit if Edge is signed-in.

I notice that the script doesn't work if profile sync is turned on in Edge. Have tested the script out on a couple of PCs and the ones that the script don't work on always have Edge profile sync turned on.

Thank you for narrowing that down. I just tested with sync on and found that the script changes the Preferences file correctly, but the sync mechanism reverts the file (presumably by replacing the local file with the synced copy from the cloud). I'll need to research this to figure out if there is some way to update the backup or force a sync or something along those lines...
