Microsoft Edge automatically changes my upper case fonts to lower case regardless if caps lock is on or not.

Same hear ,I  Loaded another browser just to see and it only happens  on edge ,track and trace a great way to lead and guide

I have this problem, and all the advice kindly given has not worked, so I don't think it will be fixed anytime soon, and I think (but I'm not an expert) it is the search Omnibox (text code?) that is at fault, mine was ok until an update when my favourite search engine Duck Duck Go was also changed to Bing, I have also followed all forum suggestions to remove Bing which I do not want on my PC at all, and again nothing has worked, so I have cured the problem myself by changing to Chrome which freely accepts Duck Duck as a search engine

this happens only in edge browser while google or firefox browsers never give such problem. sometimes my keyboard types only small letters (lower case) and never upper case and there is no choice of reinstallation but in the apps line, edge has only repair option. when I clicked on it, it reinstalled edge four times today but for the whole day it is could not succeed. i do not know the reason. it becomes ok sometimes after few hours or the next day. what could be the problem?

Hi, I was researching a problem and I saw this page highlighting the same problem as I have, which is, when typing into the Edge search/omnibox box I press "Caps Lock" to insert a capital which for a split second it shows the capital, and then inserts a small case letter.

I changed to Edge some weeks ago because of an irritating Chrome prob so I must have the latest Edge version installed, and I added Duck Duck as my preferred search engine by clicking on >settings > privacy, search, settings > in > Address Bar & Search > and under > "search engine used in address bar" I appended Duck Duck Go as my search engine.

Recently I noticed that the Edge Omnibox or search box has a Bing icon next to the magnifying glass and not a Duck Duck icon so Edge must have overruled my choice and changed it back to Bing (it might have been after an update, I don't know) and as I don't like or want anything Bing on my PC I naturally think the caps lock problem is a fault with the > "Edge/Bing search Omnibox" < because it only happens when typing in the Edge search box and not in any other typing situation on my PC so as M'soft want us to use Bing, I do wonder M'soft are actually willing to fix it

I already am on Chrome. It's just that this doesn't seem to in priority list of microsoft.
