Page jumps when I press Backspace key while typing a comment on Facebook

When typing comments in Facebook using Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if I use the backspace key on my keyboard, the entire window jumps up a page so where I was typing is now just off the top of my screen and I have to scroll up to see what I'm typing and if I have to use my backspace again, it scrolls off the top, again.

Is anyone else's Facebook page jumping like this? It only happens on Facebook too by the way.

Yep, happens in both Opera and Chrome, for backspace, right clicking for corrections, delete, just about anything that's not simply bog standard typing. Seems to not happen using Edge but i'm not keen on having to convert to using that bowser frankly. So what shenanigans did you pull in that last major update Microsoft, to make other browser platforms malfunction like this favoring your own? Not cool, fix or work out what we need to do to resolve it asap, svp.

I'm having this exact same problem with Firefox. I really don't want to change the browsers and it seems the issue is affecting all browsers anyway. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
