Page jumps when I press Backspace key while typing a comment on Facebook

When typing comments in Facebook using Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if I use the backspace key on my keyboard, the entire window jumps up a page so where I was typing is now just off the top of my screen and I have to scroll up to see what I'm typing and if I have to use my backspace again, it scrolls off the top, again.

Is anyone else's Facebook page jumping like this? It only happens on Facebook too by the way.

YES!!! This has been happening for weeks. I have tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox. It only happens on my laptop. It does not happen on my ipad or my iphone. It must be a FB/Windows problem. Hey Microsoft -- when are you going to acknowledge there is a problem....

What really pisses me off, now that I know I'm not the only one, is that FB is doing nothing about it. I posted to FB support, and they have not responded.
