Page jumps when I press Backspace key while typing a comment on Facebook

When typing comments in Facebook using Chrome or Microsoft Edge, if I use the backspace key on my keyboard, the entire window jumps up a page so where I was typing is now just off the top of my screen and I have to scroll up to see what I'm typing and if I have to use my backspace again, it scrolls off the top, again.

Is anyone else's Facebook page jumping like this? It only happens on Facebook too by the way.

Thank you for this tip. I use Chrome and have the problem. For a while I've been editing comments outside of Facebook and then pasting them in. In my case I resolved the problem (based on your idea) by REDUCING zoom from 100% to 95%.

I didn't scroll through the 33 pages of replies, so maybe this has already been suggested. I was having this same issue and I found a FIX!

I had my browser zoomed out to 75% - when I zoomed in to 90%, the jump/scroll stopped! Hope that helps you and all of these folks with the same issues.

That drove me crazy for weeks!

I have Dell desktop computer Windows 10, I changed new keyboard few months ago I can't remember which month. YES only only on Facebook such a pain much of it. I saw someone's comment in the forum is to use Enter and Shift same time to type the comments so then will not have to jump. BTW zooming is NOT the answer, never is I like at 90 cuz I can see the left side panel and I use CHROME and I love using Chrome.

Try different levels of zoom (90%, 125%, or various other levels). Most users find some level at which this problem doesn't occur (at least at a given time).
