One of my website is not working fine in the edge browser that is knowtreatment.com you can also check. It means edge browser is not so good.
Because it involves 2 different 'tools' or utilities that do things differently & have differing functions or methods. And the fundamental difference that one is inside the browser & the other is not makes for different abilities.
At a glance they 'seem' the same, but, note, it is 2 different K/B shortcuts to initiate them.
Ctrl+Shift+S = Web Capture
Win+Shift+S = Snip & Sketch
That makes sense Drew, Thank-You, Unfortunately though I have no idea why you get two different results from your link you added. That's a tough one to answer😲 🤷♂️
I suggest it is a rendering issue combined with the very differences mentioned. S&S is, to put it in my own words, taking a picture like a camera, a still photo. Thus, it sees what it sees.
Plus, let's remember, the Dark web pages exists with a flag Enabled, not by default. So, I suggest when WC renders the page into its utility that process, currently, doesn't 'see' the flag.
There's a 'conversion' process with Full Page Web Capture that doesn't exist with S&S.
I'm sure there is a better explain or more correct explanation somewhere.
Based on my 'guess', if it's correct, maybe this will change after Dark pages no longer needs a flag & IS the default.
(And, just to be fair 😉) Here's one YOU can try to explain 🤣
Interesting (curious) Different Results - Microsoft Community
Hi Drew,
Thank-You so much for the detailed information on the "Web Capture Feature" it truly is a Very nice and much needed feature. The more I use it, the more I truly enjoy it. I Made this Post just by using the scroll hole page @ https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/preview-kb4598291-os-builds-19041789-and-19042789/ac5dc1fe-f729-4e0a-8dca-0fbf4714eeb2 I use to have to copy what was on my screen and save it to a file, and then scroll down and do it again, and then past each photo together as I was assembling the page to post. But this new feature eliminates all those extra steps 👏👏👏. The only thing I find is I took those clips with the all black background but when you save the pic it is in the White background. No Biggy... but just wondering why 🤔
Cheers
