Yes, I did file a FBHG report and up voted previous ones. I am posting here so that the issue is more visible. As it is I am yet to see a Microsoft acknoledgement.

I'm curious. When many people report the same Windows Update problems, and this time it sounds like just two recurring error codes, does Microsoft ever fix the bug? Or are people expected to find other sources for a fix, or reinstall Windows using the ISO file?

I'd love to know. I keep reading this vague stuff about "corrupted file," which always sounds like "no one knows" to me. In the past, I ended up having to figure it out on my own, after wasting many hours, and finally ended up just reinstalling Windows. More than once.

There has to be a better way to run a railroad, so to speak. Such as, Microsoft, provide an easy tool which reinstalls all the most likely "corrupted files." (I have my doubts this is even the issue.) Whatever, it should be Microsoft's responsibility to help users fix the problem, rather than expecting people to waste countless hours hunting for solutions.

With Windows Updates having become mandatory, I would have thought that Microsoft would have stepped up to its increased responsibilities. Windows Updates were never bulletproof, but when Microsoft decided to make them mandatory, there's some responsibility involved there too, no?
