Install error - 0x800f081f

Been getting this since July 13th.

Not cool - and no clear way of fixing short of a reinstall of 11.

What data is sent to Microsoft when a device is registered with Insider?

Are they available to the public?

Thay are debug and diagnostic data and Onley send when Screen Of Deth is present or app is hanged and when you make report in feedback hub about it, recorded bug data are accessible to Microsoft engineers, visible for others are only text descriptions of reported bugs in feedback hub that they can add or upvote similar bugs,
your pc configuration
installed drivers and its version
and memory dump of processes related to bug that you reported
current state of components related to reported bugs

Is the exact release date for update 22H2 known? I don't want to join the test program. I want to update my computers. In mid-September it will be?

New Update is not getting installed I don't understand why this error is getting ....tried multiple remedies and hacks but the same error is getting showed

Hi,

Getting really weird, I have not seen this error until today 07/29/2022 when I tried W.U from 22621.317 to 22622.440.

Got the same error solid on every retry no matter what I tried.

So, I restored a backup of Build 22000.832 and did an update with W.U. directly to 22621.440 and that worked fine without any error.

Another step of W.U. to get to 22622.440 completed fine too.

Also, Photos and Video Editor Apps work without any crash or errors like they did with Build 22622.436.

Really weird behavior and error reports of all kinds with Builds 22621.xxx and 22622.xxx updates. 🤬🤬

Do you know how to download the official MS insider ISO for build 22621?

That worked in my case and got to 22621.105 first and then the next Windows Update to the latest level. 👍

You could also download a third-party ISO at the latest level and do the update with that.

I fixed a second desktop using third-party ISO because it saves some extra updates steps. 😉
