KB5015818: Release Preview Update for Windows 11 v 22H2 Build 22621.232

Thanks for the update. Looks like you have a typo you may want to correct; it is Build 22621 not Build 22521. 😉

Still no explanation from MS on why so many users are having problems with this update.

I did several updates to build 22621.232 without any issues.

I also tried using the MS official R.P. ISO 22621 and everything worked fine for me on 3 different machines. 🤷‍♂️

Christophe Sperandio already posted earlier that the third-party ISO 22621.232 solved his problem.

Update: Just wanted to provide a quick update on this. I downloaded the official ISO for Windows 11 Insider Preview (Release Preview Channel) - Build 22621 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso and used that to install over my existing OS (not a clean/fresh install). So basically, I went from Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.169) to 22H2 (OS Build 22621.105), sort of a downgrade. After this, I ran Windows Update and "2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5015818)" was picked up automatically. The installation of this update failed yet again twice with 2 different error messages, first was Install error - 0x80070002 and second was Download error - 0x80248007, really weird.

At this point, I just ended up utilizing a third part tool which converts latest updates to create an updated ISO with the update in question (2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5015818)) included. Used this new updated ISO to install over my existing OS again and went from Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.105) to 22H2 (OS Build 22621.232). Finally back on track. Hopefully others here with similar issues are able to resolve theirs as well. Cheers!!!

I posted several pages ago that I used the ISO I created from uupdump (https://uupdump.net/). You can create there a custom ISO from the official one, including the KB.

Just to be clear when I said I used a 3rd party ISO to fix it this is what I did, so I guess it's more correct to say I used a 3rd party site to create my own up to date ISO.

As far as what errors I was getting after using the MS ISO it actually didn't give me any error at all when trying to update after installing from the ISO. But after restarting it would give the 0x800f0911 error if I recall correctly. Same error that it gave initially when trying to install the update before ever messing with any ISOs.
