Ok, that's probably why, then, it's a gaming with Intel processors and probably more PCIE lanes. I tried the 970 EVO Plus (PCIE 3) and 980 Pro (PCIE 4) in my Asus laptop that only supports PCIE 3, jaut to see if there was any speed difference, and actually the 970 EVO Plus had slightly better results than the 980 Pro...even though both were operating in PCIE 3 mode.
Running on a Alienware Area-51 Gaming Laptop with Intel processor and 64gb ram.
