    I don't want it to appear I'm stepping on your toes, so will talk with you instead of the other person.

    They seem like they are talking about 2 or 3 things (at the same time).  And is "the taskbar weather and news widget" they mention, News & Interests, the Edge Widget or something else?  And I wonder are they meaning they are downloading Microsoft news app from Store or...

    And maybe, I'm overthinking their query, too.

    When this update got installed on my computer, I didn't have Microsoft News App. Now the taskbar weather and news widget says that there is a issue. When I try to dowload the Micrsoft News app, It gives me a error. Can you please fix this?

    Can you describe the error and insert a screen shot of the error message.

    Quite often you can fix the problem by uninstalling the app and reinstalling it from the MS Store.
