Sys Tray icon discussion on 22572 +

I hope they stop re-enabling this tablet optimization change.

To fix the problem on my desktops I had to do this:

Thay keep re-enabling the Tablet Taskbar Optimization and I keep getting these 3 bugs back.

Now on both old and new machines.

1. Shows Hidden Icons button even when there are no hidden icons.
2. Lost capability of shuffling icons around in the system tray.

They can no longer be moved nor dragged back from hidden to visible in the tray.

3. Broken Win + Shift + S and accessibility PrtScn shortcut which no longer work when Win + X is open.

New features = New bugs! 😜🤐

I did not have these issues, BUT I just checked and I do have them, now.

As for #3, with Win+X open, hitting Prt Scn, it 'flashes' for a split second at the top of the screen & then both things are gone.

Welcome to the club and the weird way MS does these inconsistent A/B tests.

I get different behaviors on different machines running the same Build.

I just hate that.

They need to roll out the same features to all the insiders so that they can have a consistent feedback.

That is no way to do good testing. 🤐🤐🤐

You could try running CHKDSK C: /F which runs on restart, it may fix your problem.

It still deletes the hidden feature configs and may work in your case. 🙃
