Remove "Start back up" option in file explorer

Hello,

In the latest release of Windows Insider Home Preview (I have an option everywhere I go in file explorer to "Start Back Up", clicking on it leads me to the onedrive dialogue to back up folders. This is incredibly annoying and I cannot find out how to disable it, even though all my backup features are off.

How can I disable this?

I was able to get rid of the button like this:

Open RegEdit
Go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StorageProvider\OneDrive
Remove or rename the key StorageProviderKnownFolderSyncInfoSourceFactory
Restart Windows Explorer

I use One Drive and do not see this Start Back Up in File Explorer.

Well yes, it's Windows that added this during an update.

But Windows, Windows Explorer, and OneDrive are all Microsoft enterprises, and that's who profits from the cloud storage one has to buy when they find their OneDrive allotment is full.

You have to be using the latest Windows 11 for it to appear

It is folder dependent. You need to be in a Libraries folder (Documents, Downloads) for it to appear.
