Remove "Start back up" option in file explorer

Tabs are great.

Who said anything about a slowdown. We're complaining about a backup functionality that we don't want, but can't turn off. We have no 'opt out' option.

And while the existence doesn't slow Explorer down, it does change the UI in a significant way that affects productivity. They put the button at the Address Bar space, which reduces the size of that and renders it much less useful than it was before. It functions less usefully than before because of the button.

The reason that it is there—in our face—where we can't ignore it is not lost on us that understand marketing. And since there is no mechanism for turning it off, we are repeatedly exposed to it.

If you have used Explorer as long as I (since its inception), you would know that this once useful and robust tool has become incredibly buggy over the years. Explorer reliability AND usability factors have gone down hill, steadily.

Many of us frustrated over the reduced usefulness of this CORE Windows component are disappointed to see all efforts going into Cloud Storage Sales Marketing and none on regression of bugs. Fix refresh, fix Views, fix search, fix all the things that are being punted as "Won't Fix—does not meet the bar" because marketing is higher priority.

I only performed these two operations: disabling their "Full Control" permission.

EDIT: Moreover, after disabling these permissions, there is no longer a need to modify key values.

Or you can do the recommended step someone mentioned earlier and leave the key there, but change it's value to "{null}". That worked for me through reboots (and thanks to the person the recommended that).

Back up the key first if you like.

EDIT: I was wrong, it came back for me on reboot eventually.
