Spotlight works for me, it went back to picture after the update, I had to set it back to spotlight.
The usual inconsistencies across devices.
As you can see in the animation, it went back to picture during the update. 🤷♂️
It's working fine now after the update.
If it went back to picture you should not have the Icon for the selection?

Now it is fine.
They screwed up my dsktop and rearrange all the icons. 😝
During the update to 25300, Windows Spotlight stopped working. 🤷♂️
Only when the bakground changes on its own or when you change it manually as well?
It could be a factor but I'm not seeing either case on a VM 🤷♂️
I just tried again now and cannot reproduce today.
I had opened 3 windows, Browser, and 2 notepads and one Notepad in focus. 🤷♂️
I've seen it many times when I'm making a backup, and the window in focus disappears behind the other open windows.
