    Hi fg,

    Aware of that, just stating I have not tested the reg file with Pro, only Home. Should be no difference. It actually would be much simpler, faster than using gpedit, providing you had the file on hand.

    The info was provided for any Home users that would prefer not to have that annoying blur. Some may be  reluctant to use registry editor. The registry is a big place :-)

    Edited to remove a blocked poster and deleted post.

    The disable in the policy is referred to the clear background...see the policy explanation below:

    By default the policy "Show clear logon background" is not configured so you get the blur effect.

    Again to confuse the "Russians": 😎 

    The disable wording used in the Registry is for the opposite effect "DisableAcrylicBackgroundOnLogon"
