Believe you are correct. Seems to be the MS way, all or nothing. Similar to the blurry login issue that they still will not deal with properly. (gpedit on pro, registry edit for home).

Hey Johnny, Pauli says the same thing about the blur effect and I have Home edition on 3 laptops and I have never had to do a regedit to not have the blur effect at log in. I just turn off Transparency in Settings Personalization. I realize this means I have no blur or Transparency effect anywhere but I don't care for the effect anyway.

Sorry for delay in seeing this. Yes, we are aware of what you are doing to eliminate blur. If this works for you, Great. I prefer to keep transparency effect.

I use gpedit on all my Pro versions, and have created a registry file for any Home versions. Simple click and load  :-)

Pauli and I's point is that MS should not be forcing their cool ideas (in their mind) on everyone, without an option to disable in Settings. This is the least MS should do.

Doing a clean install these days is similar to buying a new laptop. One spends a lot of time, turning off or deleting, uninstalling all the crapware MS forces on users.

Perhaps I should thank MS for this, made a lot of cash from customers requesting this and that being removed from the OS. They had no need for all that junk. Why still does someone have to use PowerShell to remove certain forced Apps.

Some users prefer real Professional Programs to do whatever, eg, PhotoShop, Autocad, not these limited wannabe Apps cluttering the system, in a version MS calls Professional.

Seems I have heaps of reading to do.  Also, seems (mystery how it happened) I'm quite late to the party, this time.  Anyway, I'm in the process of jumping on this bandwagon; won't be long (or much longer) now.

I switched from fe now, as we are going to rs after the Holidays, anyway.

And, whilst waiting for it to complete I will wish everyone Happy Holidays or even better Happy Harleydays & Happy New Year.

I'm glad my Win10 doesn't have "crapware" nor any I had to remove.  Nor have I had to remove a bunch before delivering machines to clients.  Maybe it's different Win10s (j/k).

Have both no blur & Transparency on mine, both Insider & 20H2. I don't recall doing anything to have it.  As for IBs, they have been both at various times; for quite a while now, consistently no blur, anymore.  I prefer no blur.

There should be more place somewhere when you want to tell them you like something or that it works well, too.  Since that's missing in FH, I usually tweet such things to the WIP Team.  Positive comments have value, as well as criticism does.

And, on a personal note, I've never felt the suggestion of things being "forced" on End Users is an attitude that really applies or is a very helpful or productive attitude.  But, then again, my sentiments matter to nothing.

Yes, it doesn't matter what is introduced, someone will say they hate it.  Can never please the whole World simultaneously or with the same thing.  Nor can OSs be built for individuals rather than for a whole Globe & all of over a billion Users.

It is thought, if Consumers don't have such an On/Off switch, Enterprise will (probably, maybe)
