My desktop background was changed to a solid color.

How it got there but my background photo is one of the pictures for the Lock Screen.

Is there a way to move it back to the Background pictures where I can use it?

I have it saved on a USB stick if I need to get it.

Move the picture from the USB stick and put it in pictures.

This is just like it was with blurred sign-in screen. It take long time before MS introduce setting in GPO (Only for Win 10 Pro, Ent, Edu) to switch off that feature. Workaround for Home users is turn off transparency effect, which turn off all transparency or use regedit.

For this blurred sign-in screen and now for this new animation effect should have own on/off switches somewhere in Settings / Personalization.
