Build 21277 is out as an Optional Update

How do they expect a feedback if they only enable the new feature(s) for a subset of insiders ? 

None of 3 machines I have updated to 21277 shows this change . 😎

Have never agreed with or appreciated this supposed A/B testing. It only forces one to enable the feature by other means if desired. It actually divides Insiders to have's, those that get around it, and not have's.

Makes sense, doesn't it

Also: features like the updated emoji picker, redesigned touch keyboard, voice typing, theme-aware splash screens, and others that were removed temporarily at the end of October will be returning for Insiders who install this RS_PRERELEASE build. However, please note some of these features will continue to be available only to a subset of Insiders and will get enabled for more Insiders over time.

JMO, I didn't take this to apply to the animation.

Maybe Eddie can clarify this.

Also, I didn't see any pop up animation when I got

21277. I also didn't see anything like Wolfboy

described, so call me confused about this.

No I don't notice a difference !!!

It can be disabled by going to Settings > Ease of Access > Simplify and personalize Windows and > Show animations in Windows and move the slider to Off.

I think MDS_ was trying to disable just the new animation that came up with 21277 not all of them.

I assume it is another of those A/B testing, because I don't see it at all on any of 21277 machines ?

Believe you are correct. Seems to be the MS way, all or nothing. Similar to the blurry login issue that they still will not deal with properly. (gpedit on pro, registry edit for home). What kind of answer is turn off animations. Really!

It truly is sad, if one of the Insider team considers it cool, the rest of us get stuck with it. Same as the Settings header. What does it even have to do with Settings. Wasted screen space on small screens such as tablets, more scrolling.

If MS wants this stuff, fine, give consumers the option to disable. Is that asking too much MS? Please, Wake Up. We want an OS that just works.

Look at all the lame decisions they have made in the past, turning all icons white on taskbar, now they are very, very slowly putting color back in as we had in previous OS. You just cannot make this comedy routine up.
