That jibes with something I said earlier, I think.  At least with the IB, over time there have been times where it was (blurry) & then wasn't.  It's not so much recalling that I had changed something to MAKE it not be blurred, BUT that I recall being surprised & thinking "Oh, that's nice" at the time. It has been both, but not blurred for a long time, now.

As for my 20H2, if I changed something to make IT not blurred, that I don't recall.  It's been focused for so long I honestly don't recall (maybe I did, guess I must have).  It's how I like it so, it's all good 😂😉

On my Dev Insider install on H-V the login blur screen is gone which I did not change a setting, so I still have Transparency effects enabled.

My two SP4 still blur though.

Yes, it doesn't matter what is introduced, someone will say they hate it.  Can never please the whole World simultaneously or with the same thing.  Nor can OSs be built for individuals rather than for a whole Globe & all of over a billion Users.

It is thought, if Consumers don't have such an On/Off switch, Enterprise will (probably, maybe)

While I may totally agree with your statement here, you cannot please a billion users. No matter what is introduced, there will always be those that like, those that dislike, and well, some things may just require time to adapt.

The point being, give consumers the option to deploy or not.

Case in point, the "Blur" issue you sort of forgot about setting. Have you ever seen this in action on a device with no lock screen (password). It is horrendous booting directly to Desktop. Granted, it may only last a second or two, would rather see the beautiful lock screen picture than that massive blur.

Before I get lectured regarding passwords, my entire Home fleet are on local accounts. My 130lb German Shepherd is my password :-).

Only the main working computer is password protected due to confidential info. Even with the sign-in box screen, who needs to put focus on that with the blur, would rather admire the daily picture. Again, this is my preference, and it should simply be a toggle.

Drew, with you being in the IT business, you would know it does not require much effort to remove passwords anyhow. Yes, I have had some consumers actually forget them and were locked out of their systems, with a handful of stories behind each one  :-)

I am SO glad to see this👆❗ It's SO logical & intuitive; I was always surprised it couldn't be done.

Whilst going to uninstall Snipping Tool, noticed could do same with IE11, so I did.
