Suspect MS will let us run 22000.xxx. It will be valid till 2023. They will come down hard with requirements on 22xx. Sure, there will always be a way around, as now, but how long does one want to play the game. I have always upgraded the Dev builds via ISO, so no change in my habits, will keep doing so on the non-compliant device.

I look at it this way, MS is giving us a teaser, and also providing us with couple more years to get the equipment up to speed. Haven't priced it yet, granted I went overboard on new system, but just may upgrade the old desktop as well, with a basic MB and perhaps an 8th or 9th Gen i5 chip. Heck, might even find some deals on Ebay. Good enough for W11. There are always gamers that offload slightly older stuff for latest, quickest chips.

Even less chances of getting updates on the Public Release Build 22000.xxx next month with an unsupported box !

If you can do System Image Backups you can easily try both 22000xxx and 22xxx.xxxx any time you like, just restoring one build or the other.

Apparently you don't do backups either. 😉

I have 4 machines in the Red Zone, so you are not alone, those 4 machines will be fine with Windows 10 at least till 2025. 😊
