Build 23403.1001 is out to Dev Channel Insiders

Mine is on by default in 23403 and there is no way to get the magnifying glass icon, as there was in the public build that I upgraded from.

It was a strange regression.

With the feature (SearchBoxOnTaskbar) disabled, the default looks like this, I think it is called (SearchBoxPillButton).

In that case you only have the On/Off option, none of the other choices. 😎

It is easy to enable or disable these hidden experimental features.

But it is not a subject allowed in these MS forums. 🤐🤐🤷‍♂️

I clean installed 22621, got all updates,

joined Dev Insider and I'm now on 23403.

I do not have the Search box options in

Taskbar settings.

Is this as it should be?

Both devices I checked have that same notification. Maybe WIP page is referring to Canary build?

For me it is up to date and does not find anything when checking for updates, but when I look at the insider page it still shows this red message even if the system was already updated. 🤷‍♂️🤐

Yes, on the Insider page I see the same

This doesn't make any sense; this system was just updated 2 hours ago, and it is at the latest Dev Level.

Yet the update is not showing in update history.

The update doesn't show on a VM either but the Stack Package does which was installed at the same time. 🤷‍♂️
