Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.160 | Windows Insider Blog

ISOs now available

Today we are releasing the ISOs for Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.132 to our Windows Insider Preview Downloads page. You can use these ISOs to do a clean installation or in-place upgrade.

As you use these ISOs to install Windows 11, you will go through the new Windows 11 setup experience (often referred to as the “out of box experience” or OOBE for short) which is designed to build excitement for Windows 11 right from the moment you turn on a new Windows 11 PC for the very first time. Based on your feedback, we have added the ability to name your PC during the setup experience too. After running through the setup experience, the Get Started app is a new first run experience app that will help you quickly get setup on a new PC. Try these things out and let us know what you think!

Create a Windows 11 USB Flash drive - Your Windows Guide

  1. Go to https://aka.ms/WIPISO
  2. Select Windows 11 Build 22000.132.
  3. Select the desired language of the Installation Media.
  4. Click 64-bit download to start the download.

    As I wrote earlier the lack of an official ISO while MS opens for testing is going to lead to people being exploited. And, now the news are coming in, people are downloading malware and get their systems infected because they are fooled by 3rd party sites.

    Not MS fault directly, but even so, could have been avoided with an official release of the ISO.

    As I wrote earlier the lack of an official ISO while MS opens for testing is going to lead to people being exploited. And, now the news are coming in, people are downloading malware and get their systems infected because they are fooled by 3rd party sites.

    Not MS fault directly, but even so, could have been avoided with an official release of the ISO.

    That malware and exploits being talked about was

    from an unofficial leaked ISO before Windows 11

    was even officially announced.

    Not MS's fault at all.

    Most anyone can create their own W11 ISO from a successful W11 install. Most folk likely know that an ISO is available on the day an update is released. Up to you if you trust the source.

    1. You might want to try W11 on a different computer than your daily driver. So installing W10 just to upgrade is more work.
    2. Upgrades from W10 might fail, my system got bricked because the Raid drives failed after upgrade, so I had to reinstall.
    3. And so on...

    There are many scenarios where making an ISO from your upgrades OS is not viable.

    If people check MS for the source without winding anything, way to many will try and trust alternatives.

    You are stupid if you click on a mail asking for your credit card information as well. But why do you recon those mails are sent? The exact same reason there are malware pretending to be W11 available.

    It's not MS fault, but when they opened the test they should also release the ISO.
