Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.160 | Windows Insider Blog

ISOs now available

Today we are releasing the ISOs for Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.132 to our Windows Insider Preview Downloads page. You can use these ISOs to do a clean installation or in-place upgrade.

As you use these ISOs to install Windows 11, you will go through the new Windows 11 setup experience (often referred to as the “out of box experience” or OOBE for short) which is designed to build excitement for Windows 11 right from the moment you turn on a new Windows 11 PC for the very first time. Based on your feedback, we have added the ability to name your PC during the setup experience too. After running through the setup experience, the Get Started app is a new first run experience app that will help you quickly get setup on a new PC. Try these things out and let us know what you think!

Create a Windows 11 USB Flash drive - Your Windows Guide

  1. Go to https://aka.ms/WIPISO
  2. Select Windows 11 Build 22000.132.
  3. Select the desired language of the Installation Media.
  4. Click 64-bit download to start the download.

    Let’s take this another way.

    The existing of this thread indicates a need for a specific distribution channel. A need that is not being met by current policies.

    Instead of continuing to double down on those policies why not listen to customers and work to meet their needs? Otherwise the participants on this forum as well as journalists will continue to be frustrated.

    Creating an iSO from a current build is a process that can be automated…. Canonical does that with Ubuntu. If a company that only has a fraction of the budget can figure out how to release daily ISOs for ARM and x86, surely Microsoft can figure it out as well.

    There are unofficial ISO's in the wild, the ISO was available about one week before the official announcement if I remember correctly, and it has been shared on several locations since then, including private services like Google drive etc.

    Many of these has since been taken down, but still...

    • There are unofficial ISO's in the wild, and these can be used to infect users computers with malware.

    FYI: the links posted are not "in the wild" by any means and they don't download any leaked version either. The files come from Microsoft servers and the script they provide to make ISOs has been used and scrutinized for years. Never heard of anybody getting infected or their security breached because of them.

    I don't use the W11 ISO that was leaked, but thousands have used it, and if MS don't release the preview ISO this will be exploited, if it's not already. Saying ppl should be cautious don't change this fact.

    I know there is some danger involved, but as Insiders we take this risk. However, the whole point of being Insiders is to report back to MS. And, when the W11 update bricks my system I imagine this is something MS would like to know about. But without the tools to investigate, me having this issue escspes MS.

    All I have now is a suspicion, I need to test more to determine if the raid drivers are in fact the issue.
