Cannot install .net framework 3.5 on Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview image, is it not supported?

HI All,

Cannot install .net framework 3.5 on Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview image, is it not supported?

I used the Windows 10 ARM insider Preview "VHDX" to setup this Windows.

From link:

I tried DISM/UI also installation failure with 0x800F0950, I tried to find this ARM version ISO to install from source.

However, there is no ISO provided (just has the VHDX)

Would like to confirm is Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview image not supported .net framework 3.5 to be installed? Thanks.

    Hi @aLaw_ ,

    A few questions:

    1. Are you running the latest Insider Preview? Even though the VHDX is older, it's best to enroll in the Windows Insider program from the Updates & Security menu in Settings, then upgrade to the latest build.
    2. If yes, Have you modified any group policy settings or made any manual settings changes to Windows Update? Usually these will cause problems with feature installation/updates.
    3. Do you have any proxies enabled on your system?
    4. When you go to install the .NET Framework 3.5 feature in the optionalfeatures program, does it give you an option to download the required files from Windows Update?

    This windows is a "Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview image" instead of a normal windows...

    I have a different error number when attempting to install it on my Parallels 16 VM:

    Edit: Disregard that, it gave me the error because for some reason, the virtual Ethernet controller was disabled.

    Edit 2: Now it's 0x800F0950.

    Edit 3: Found a possible fix at: .NET Framework 3.5 installation errors - Windows Client | Microsoft Docs - The group policy specified in the first troubleshooting step was disabled, trying again with it enabled.
