    Hi fg2001,

In my system, I tried to update virus definitions from Windows Defender. It updated at the first attempt but read "updating failed. was not successful.".

I know it updated properly because the threat protection defn version changed but read it failed. On second trial, it read update was successful whereas it alraedy updated.

    Regards

Looks like with 1.343. they fixed the problem when checking directly from defender, it now shows the green checkmark Security is up to date. :-)

But strangely Def updates are not coming in through WU

like they used to when you checked.

    Hi C.K.

I think they will come through W.U. too, just wait for the next defender update.

The last one through W.U was 1.341.1630.0

There was only one 1.343.25.0 so far, so I think you will see the next one with W.U.
