    I have this message when installing (35%). What are things that this message shows to me? Do I have to fix anything?

    In addition, the installation has stuck at 35% for a long time.

    Hi fg2001,

    In my system, I tried to update virus definitions from Windows Defender. It updated at the first attempt but read "updating failed. was not successful.".

    I know it updated properly because the threat protection defn version changed but read it failed. On second trial, it read update was successful whereas it alraedy updated.

    Regards

    I have the latest drivers, I've installed it again but it keeps giving the same error, it restarts and starts to install but it only reaches 74%.

    @suat.cini,

    Hi,

    Now we are at catch 22 with windows defender, it is now trying to update from 1.341.xxxx.0 to 1.343.25.0.

    In Windows 11 it now fails both with W.U. and with the direct update done by Defender.

    In 21H1 it has the same problem with W.U. but it works with the direct update done from windows security and that way it can get over the error, but with Windows 11 is failing both ways so it is stuck.

    This bug has been gon on in development for over 10 days...

    They seem to have 2 separate bugs one when the change the second 3 digits is affecting W.U.

    The other bug is only on Insider and affect the direct update done by Defender..

    Finally worked on retry.....
