This has to be an error on your side, I can change from dark to light and back again pretty much instantly I don't think so and my hardware is not the culprit either, my W11 22000.51 clean install on my Raspberry Pi4B has the same issue. This is W10 Dev 21390.2025 fully loaded with tons of apps on the same laptop

What kind of graphics card do you have ? Do you have the latest drivers installed ? Not everything is just the Windows side of it your hardware might have a bottleneck you are unaware of or an accessory connected that is keeping your system busy. If you could switch back to prior Windows would the problem go away ? @R Starzuft, See my post above for a sample configuration that shows the delay. Also, I can confirm that using Windows 10 on the same machine the switching from dark to light and back has no delay at all.

Perhaps take a look with Dism; used incomplete command for example. Already specified the kb# of the CU (dated 6/25) that took the build to .51 going to Dev channel: Cheers,
