Taskbar Widgets keep closing, won't stay open

I downloaded the full Win 11 ISO today from Microsoft and installed it on my desktop PC (over Win 10 Pro). I had been using my laptop for the Insider Preview Beta. Everything works OK on the Desktop PC install except the Widgets. When I click on the Widgets icon, it flys open and then closes right away. Rebooted a few times, removed and added Widgets from the Taskbar, but it still closes right away.

When I go to Settings, Accounts, E-Mail and Accounts, Accounts used by other Apps.

It lists my sam@....... account twice. When I click on Manage, it looks like a window would about to open, but doesn't. Also, Add Microsoft Account doesn't open either. Just Add work/school account will open.

After rolling back to Win 10, it seems like I *might* of found the issue.

It seems that I can't log into my Microsoft Account, it won't even give me the option to inside on Win 10.

I'm able to login at the website just fine:

    https://account.microsoft.com/

But within Win 10, it shows my account twice, and won't do anything when I click on Manage or Add Microsoft Account.

I also went to the Microsoft Store App and it showed my account twice. I signed out and was going to sign back in, but gives the error "We encountered an error please try again later". I was able to run WSReset and that logged me back in. But still lists my MS Account twice.

In the other Widgets thread, someone posted the following:

"Uninstalling "Windows Web Experience Pack" using Powershell and reinstalling it from the Microsoft store fixed the issue for me:

    1. Open PowerShell as admin
    2. Type the following command and hit enter: winget uninstall "windows web experience pack"
    3. Type "Y" when prompted
    4. Reinstall the pack by grabbing it from the Microsoft Store: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9MSSGKG348SP
    5. Go to taskbar settings, the Widgets switch should be there, disable it and enable it again
    6. That's it! Widgets icon should appear in your taskbar."

I followed this, but going to Step 4, it will not allow the download from the Microsoft Store. So now I have no way to installed the Widgets.

    Hi,

I just tried this procedure and it worked fine for me, it uninstalled and reinstalled the "Windows web experience pack."

While it was uninstalled the Widgets couldn't even start, but it worked again after reinstalling from the store as suggested.

I also tried repairing Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime with the modify option showing clicking on the 3 dots on the right. That worked fine too.

I first did the Repair of Edge WebView2 and it didn't fix it.

Then I did the other procedure, it would allow me to use Powershell to uninstall it, but then when going Step # 4 and going to the Microsoft Store it would say "Get" but wouldn't download and install. There was no other way to install it. I looked for a .cab for other install file on line, but couldn't find one.
