Taskbar Widgets keep closing, won't stay open

I do have a MS Account, and had been on the Win 11 beta (and Win 10 Dev channel before,). All the earlier Beta builds if Win 11 the Widgets worked fine, the issue has been with the last 3 builds (since rtm release). That's why yesterday I was thinking about maybe trying on of the older betas again just to see what happens.

I do have an account verification email (on my MS ACC web site page) and MS Authentication app on phone I even tested it with my Win 10 Asus laptop, clicked on Verify and it sent it to the Authentication app on the phone. But I do this on my Desktop and nothing happens.

Each machine needs to be setup with a verification method, just because it works on the laptop doesn't mean that your other machines can be verified the same way unless you specifically set each one up.

When you login on your MS account Web site you can go through the list of your registered devices and set each one up for the verification method that you want.

But still, can't figure out why and when my Win 10 install has my MS Account listed twice, as that is the cause of the issues, can't click on the Verify link under Sync, and it's also probably why Win 11 Widgets won't work since it can't log into the online account.

Probably because you are using the same computer name and MS Email account and going back and forth from Windows 10 to Windows 11, also you don't have an account verification separate email set up.

Widgets needs to login to your MS Account to work, if it fails it may close down right after you try to open it.

The clean Install is just to isolate better where the bug is. You can always go back to a previous Image backup or clone once you have done with the test.

Ugh!!! I'd really rather not, because all my programs I have installed and some of them I wouldn't be able to get/find and install again

So doing a clone from my Win 7 SSD (that I was using up until last year) and going from there to Win 10 to 11, or 11 directly, I'd like to try first.
