Howdy! Within the last few days Co-pilot has went missing from the bottom right of the screen. It used to be an icon right of the system clock. My wife has the icon on Windows 11 Build 226321 and has the co-pilot app on the bottom right. I had the same build. Steps so far to try to fix this: I am logged into my Microsoft account(Start menu shows my picture) Copilot pro is active Updated Windows Installed Insider preview Beta and dev channels no change Checked Taskbar settings nothing about the program to toggle on or off Reinstalled copilot under apps I signed up for the subscription thinking that would help it did not. Ran sfc /scannow no change I DO have the copilot program on the PC but this one acts different in terms of how to access it. I liked the program preview version in the corner because it just popped up when I needed to use it. Now it's a separate window I have to snap to the right side, but the behavior is still very different. I don't like this. I don't know how to get it back to what my wife has. The program also appears as normal in Office 365 apps. Any suggestions on how I can get the copilot icon to how it was at the bottom right of my screen next to the system clock?

No point of arguing here, I don't compare anything, if you don't like it file an FBH report. It is a matter of preference; I sure never liked the silly side panel of the preview version and the bugs that came with it. 😝 It is still on the taskbar, just where the users want to pin the shortcut. 🤷♂️

It was really so convenient to have on the side. I'm using Co-Pilot for Microsoft and it was so easy to ask. With the new update, I now need to go look for a separate window to open and I have so many already open. I'm going to test if a restore point works, then install future updates by click. The idea is to have a regular App so you can move and shape the open window anywhere you like. If you want it on the right side just open it on the right side. If you open it once in the position you like, it will open there every time. They are not going backward and give you back the silly preview version. 🤣🤣🤣 Here is the new App version 1.0.4.0 opened on the right side. It can be moved anywhere a user likes and stays there every time you reopen it. 👌 You can have a shortcut on the desktop or pin it to the taskbar. Where is the problem with that? The preview version of Co-Pilot was more convenient to use, and it's not that this new version is super inconvenient, but if Co-Pilot is gonna be like this for now on, I'd rather and will just use ChatGPT. Some reasons I personally find it inconvenient are: Co-Pilot preview loaded quicker. Its UI looks ugly now It's recent conversations button are exclusively accessible from the home button It doesn't overlap apps like how the preview version did, so if you're using it and click on another window, that window will overlap it As far as I know, you can no longer switch conversation styles Every response has this weird fade in effect This newer version of Co-pilot can generate responses like most AI chat-bots can, but the only reason I used preview was because of how convenient it was, now that they've removed all the good parts, I no longer have a reason to use it. The user ".RR" brought up something about Co-Pilot preview that I could not word better, "The feature where Co-Pilot would "snap" into your current desktop by reducing the width of the windows proportionally without forcing you to do it on your own. It stayed visible automatically due to this while you tested the result/suggestions on your open windows." I personally enjoyed that feature, and this newer version of Co-Pilot does not have it. Out of curiosity, what did you dislike about Co-pilot preview? It never caused me any problems and I actually enjoyed using it, I can't understand what makes it so silly.

You seem to dislike it, but I can't understand what there is for you to dislike. @Crisich, It was messing up my desktop icons, and MS never fixed that problem properly for all Build and configurations. That side panel was driven by EDGE anyway. If you like the side panel you can use the one on EDGE. I also did not like that side panel in a fixed position on the right side of the screen, I have other stuff there. With the new app I can move it where I like with the shape I want without restrictions. 🤷♂️

Hi SeeonX,

MS has decided to run as a separate app, so all Copilot's will end up in the Taskbar without the ability to move it next to the clock.

Put your idea forward to the Feedback Hub, if enough people want it there and vote for it maybe MS we give us the option to move it where the user wants it.

Copilot is out of pre View.
