Howdy! Within the last few days Co-pilot has went missing from the bottom right of the screen. It used to be an icon right of the system clock. My wife has the icon on Windows 11 Build 226321 and has the co-pilot app on the bottom right. I had the same build. Steps so far to try to fix this: I am logged into my Microsoft account(Start menu shows my picture) Copilot pro is active Updated Windows Installed Insider preview Beta and dev channels no change Checked Taskbar settings nothing about the program to toggle on or off Reinstalled copilot under apps I signed up for the subscription thinking that would help it did not. Ran sfc /scannow no change I DO have the copilot program on the PC but this one acts different in terms of how to access it. I liked the program preview version in the corner because it just popped up when I needed to use it. Now it's a separate window I have to snap to the right side, but the behavior is still very different. I don't like this. I don't know how to get it back to what my wife has. The program also appears as normal in Office 365 apps. Any suggestions on how I can get the copilot icon to how it was at the bottom right of my screen next to the system clock?

I think the main thing is now the app disappears if you click on a separate window. You used to be able to just change the window (ie. swapping between Chrome and Word) and Copilot would stay there. Now, changing the browser covers Copilot. Yes, you can drag each individual window to the side and do a split screen, but you have to do that for every other window. Before, it just happened. I do like being able to move it anywhere on the screen, and that is something that should've been an option FOREVER ago. However, I think the sidebar was much better for switching back and forth between other windows. Additionally, this new update kind of broke the Copilot key on my keyboard. I like being able to personalize what the key does now, but I liked it better before. The new version only opens the Copilot app and won't close it. The Preview could do both. Lastly, my school has Copilot blocked, but not Chat GPT. The old one worked without the need for a VPN, but this new version requires me to turn on a VPN and then go to the app. I might as well just use Chat GPT 🤷♂️. Yes, that's my school's fault, not the new app's. Still, I used to use Copilot for convenience, and now it doesn't work quite as well for MY needs. And it doesn't really have to be, but I wish they let you choose between a few things, just IMO 🤷♂️🤷♂️.

@Chickens218. The side panel Copilot had a serious bug, it was rearranging all the icons on the desktop every time it opened. 😝🤬

I never had that issue, and, from what others on the rest of this thread have said it hasn't been for them either. Was your computer just unable to run Copilot as efficiently as everyone else's? Going back to my original post, I did say they should give us the options to customize it. Those who like the more efficient style of the sidebar should be able to use it. Those who like more flexibility with the new app should be able to do that. Just because you couldn't fix a bug on your computer doesn't mean it should be ruined for everyone else 😝😝🤪😭😭😭🫣🫣🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🥱😴

Hi SeeonX,

MS has decided to run as a separate app, so all Copilot's will end up in the Taskbar without the ability to move it next to the clock.

Put your idea forward to the Feedback Hub, if enough people want it there and vote for it maybe MS we give us the option to move it where the user wants it.

Copilot is out of pre View.
