SearchHost.exe repeatedly crashing

Whenever I click the taskbar search button, or when I click the search bar on the start menu, SearchHost.exe crashes.

I already have attempted to reset Cortana via settings and a clean boot (disabling startup apps). When in task manager, I can see that SearchHost.exe does start-up as intended, but then immediately stops.

This is a relatively new issue that only started happening to me about 4 hours ago. The only instances this happens are in the start menu and the taskbar, and other search bars work perfectly fine. This is still difficult to work around since much of the start menu is not functional because of this.
