Thank you, Paul. Have been using it on Win. 10 for over a year and after leaving, my PC just would not reconcile not being in the program any longer. The registry edit did work and my system now shows I am no longer in the Insider program.

Hi,
I cannot leave the windows insider program. I've tried all emails that I've ever signed into on my computer, and all of them just say "This email address is not registered as a windows insider". I only pressed the join button to the windows insider program to see what it would do, I didn't sign up with an email or anything. It won't let me out. I would really like to get out because it's restricting my updates! I need help, please.

2023-09-18T12:07:18+00:00 I am in Build 23541, Dev Channel. I have given up and will eventually do a clean install. As much as some other poster have said I had chosen the Dev Channel, that is not what happened. I was never given an option of Channel to choose, no matter what other poster have claimed. Thanks for your reply and I appreciate your advice. I wish I was in one of the other channels, but unfortunately I'm not.

My question was will changing the "Windows Insider" in "Services" to "Disable" serve any purpose. Someone told me it would prevent it from running in the background and I thought it might inhibit Updates from loading somehow. I'm not an expert, as you are, so please excuse my questions. I was just asking about that. If you don't know, maybe someone else has an answer. Thanks to anyone else who cares to assist.
That service simply says that it must remain enabled for the Windows Insider Program to work.
So, disabling it does not serve any purpose for the subject of this discussion.
