    Tried updating from 25295.1000.

Got to 100% and GSOD with error in FLTMGR.sys.

Reverted to a previous backup of the same release and it failed again with the same error.

Have you tried running sfc /scannow?

Have you run the Windows Update Troubleshooter?

Are all your drivers up to date?

Also please file this issue in the Feedback Hub. WIN+F

Just got the same GSOD FLTMGR.sys going from 25300.1000 to 25309.1000, it rolled back to 25300.

    Running Troubleshooter now.

    Edit,

I couldn't find anything useful from the troubleshooter, so I updated again, this time offline using ISO.

The update completed fine. Clearly with the same screwed up desktop with all my icons reshuffled and rearranged. 🤬🤬

Third try is the charm, deleted the software distribution. Got a fresh download and installed completely.
