I have the same problem with one of my computers.

Hi fg, I have a mixed bag with the Spotlight icon. One machine has it, another does not. I have tried several times switching back and forth to picture and spotlight to no avail. I will take snips if I get the chance. On my non-compliant laptop I have like a version of file explorer that looks like the one from Win8 and early Win10. No idea where that came from. Have not looked into this concern, been busy with health (I am winning the fight with cancer) and other things. This build is a terrible one. I've had to install twice with ISO and keep it offline for it to take on a compliant vm. Still have one more non-compliant vm to do. Too many changes in the inner workings, going to take time to get sorted. Regards, Johnny

Well will wonders never cease. Unplugging that external HD and restarting the update WORKED. Glory BE! I have no clue why that was the problem, but I have to say I'm sure relieved!

Jason, unplugging my external HD FIXED THE PROBLEM. Don't ask me why!!! 😁 Maybe there's something wrong with that drive, but I sure am relieved to have that upgrade to 25309 installed and working! 😊

This build has created so many different issues depending on where I start from. Got GSODs and other issues. Also, I could never complete an upgrade on my non-compliant laptop, keeps failing the setup at about 90% on working on updates. As for the Spotlight on background, it gets a little tricky.
