    Thanks Davy. Software Distribution folderd emptied & update restarted. I knew that 2nd restart wasn't likely to succeed - I think it was Einstein who said it was lunacy to do the same thing over again expecting different results. Yep, he sure was right! 😊

    Yes but he never came up against Microsoft Operating systems and Insider builds did he HB?

    Thanks CK. Dell Insider laptop now on 25309. No install issues. I keep no icons or shortcuts on the desktop as I keep what I use on the taskbar.

    because mine were moved and enlarged again.
