A New Issue - Still - with Optimise Drives post Windows 11 Pro Build(22000.527 and up)

I don't see this issue unless I mount an ISO.

Then when ejected, if I close and open the app the listing goes away.

OT: something that caught my attention is the misspelling of "optimization" 🤔

Did the same for me on the Lenovo Yoga 920 the first time I mounted the ISO and went away on eject.

So, I did the mount twice and then eject and, in that case, it was left over. Then I rebooted and it cleaned up.

But the situation is different on every machine I try, also changes depending on which ISO I mount, it looks worse on Dev build that it does on Public Build 22000.434.

In some case it shows several instances of the same leftover virtual CD. 😡

As for the spelling I think they are both valid. 😆

There is no difference between "Optimization" and "Optimisation." However, "Optimize" is American spelling while "Optimise" is British spelling. British Oxford English Dictionary uses "ize" ending for most of the same words as American English.

Anyway, the DVD or CD virtual or real should not show on the optimization screen, that is the bug.

Compare the behavior with Windows 10.

This had the ISO and a real DVD mounted and it is not showing up at all on the optimization screen.

It just does not belong there.

To show the bug, I just mounted a real DVD on build 22526 and it shows up on the Optimization screen.

Again, it does not belong there. That is the bug already even without mounting ISOs.

The interesting thing is that the left-over virtual CDs disappeared when I mounted the real DVD. 🤣

Showed up again after ejecting of the real DVD. 😝

The app DOES NOT allow you to optimize those drives so it is actually doing its job as expected.

I suppose you can call it a bug but IMHO it is just cosmetic. Besides, why would you be mounting an ISO or a CD/DVD and looking at the app at the same time, what for?

So what? It is a bug, not just cosmetics.

It is not showing CDs or DVDs in the same screen in Windows 10 because they don't belong there.

It is just another mistake that was added a few builds back, when they tried to fix this bug
