A New Issue - Still - with Optimise Drives post Windows 11 Pro Build(22000.527 and up)

Build(22000.346) now shows USB Flash Drives / Cards - as previous report to FBH Ref https://aka.ms/AAe9dct.

However, another issue appears to have been created referring to DVD (?) drive(s).

DVD drives have NEVER been reported on in all the years I've been using Windows 2000/10/11.

    Hi Ian,

    I am still seeing this issue on my newly built system with 22000.434 that does not even have any DVD or Blu-ray drives. Will play around with it some more. Suspect fg is correct in just mounting ISO images and the OS not dismounting properly could be one of the concerns.

    Have a great week guys. I have like eight virtual machines to put together on new system. That will probably take me through to next week. I finally put the last SSD drive in just for the vm's. Longest build in my life 🤣

    I have a Dell Inspiron 3670 running Windows 11 Pro.

    Just an issue on Dell hardware??😒

    Dell are investigating several issues on my 3670 - the level of technical expertise is, at least, questionable.

    I don't think it has anything to do with Dell.

    See the edit update on my last post. Just another bug of Windows 11, both on Public and Development builds.

    I don't remember seeing this bug before 22000.346. 🤣

    Still not fixed in Build(22000.434)

    Hi Ian,

    Weird, I don't see the bug on this Lenovo 920 Laptop. anymore at build 22000.434, but the problem is still there on my Desktops Dell XPS 8930 and Dell XPS 8940.

    More inconsistent behavior. 🤣

    Edit:

    I got the problem back again, by mounting and ejecting an ISO file.

    Looks like the Eject may not cleanup the virtual CD created by the mount of the ISO.

    Then it cleaned up after a restart on this laptop, but not on the desktops. 🤣
