Spotlight Collection on 225XX

"When there is an update of the pictures for the Lock Screen the Spotlight collection gets screwed up and disappears, then they revert back to the default Whitehaven picture without the menu to switch thru the collection for the Background."

I noticed that "link" between those features on 12/14/2021 and since then I haven't use that new Spotlight collection on background image. (My reply in page 5)

They don't even list it in the known issues or reply to the FBH reports. 🤐

Thanks for confirming.

It looks to me that the 2 features "Windows Spotlight" for the Lock Screen and "Spotlight collection" for the Background pictures are just stepping on each other.

They use the same assets folder of the user to store and update the pictures.

Here we go again.

This is another case now with build 22538.1000, the spotlight collection was back yesterday, but only lasted one day.

Now this box is back to the default Whitehaven picture.

Why is it so difficult to fix these silly bugs?

This saga started on Dec 8,2021 and we are now on Jan 20, 2022.

Right now, I have only one machine that still has the collection, but I'm sure it will disappear on that too like it did for over a month now.

It is not a coincidence that the collection for the background pictures is lost every time there is an update of the Lock screen pictures in Windows spotlight.

Edit:

Just waited 30 minutes more and the Spotlight collection disappeared also on the second desktop.

This behavior is really ridiculous.
