FG, are the Spotlight option for the Lock screen
and Spotlight Collection for Background conflicting?
I don't use Spotlight on Lock screen and Spotlight
Collection has been working well.
Just putting my 2 cents in, not saying that what you
are seeing isn't a bug.
Hi C.K.
Yes, the Windows Spotlight for the Lock screen and the Spotlight collection for the background are conflicting and stepping on each other. When they update the Lock screen pictures, they mess up or delete the Collection for the background.
Today the 2 updates happened in sync and that is why now it is working, but next time they update the Lock screen it will screw up again unless they do both updates in sync.
This problem has been happening from the beginning, but apparently the guys at MS don't talk to each other. 😉
And yes, I use both Windows Spotlight for the Lock screen and Spotlight collection for the background. (Or at least I try to!)
Not very successfully, I must add. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The 2 features are not mutually exclusive, both can be selected, and they should work together without any conflict.
