Shortened Date and Time

No problems for me so far. Can't say I'm much of a fan of the shortened date on the Taskbar. I'd have thought 26/11/24, UK format, would be better if being shortened at all.

    Must admit, I cannot come up with an answer or explanation for that question 🤷‍♂️. All I know or can say is I changed nothing.

    But dig this... (not to add to the mysteries or anything)

    Just went to the IB. Control Panel opened! I set it to 24H & d/m/y.

    Told it to Show seconds, which it did AND did not switch to AM/PM.
    Told it to Abbreviate and it did not switch to AM/PM.
    Told it to do both and it did not switch to AM/PM.

    So, it is not doing it in either IB or retail.

    Even though this was put to Johnny. When I saw it, I checked this, again, just now. If Show seconds is added to 24H it, still, does not, is not changing to AM/PM.

    Cannot check Abbreviated, as that is not in my retail 11.

    Do you see the same if you use English (Canada)?

    Here I get the same results with English (Canada), English (Australia) and English (United States).

    There are way too many countries to try them all. 😂

    English (Europe) and other European countries work correctly. 🤷‍♂️

    Edit:

    Looks like Pauli O explained the puzzle on Nov 28.

    The Short and Long time must be both set for 24 hours for this to work correctly.

    With English (Europe) it is done automatically, but with English (United States) or (Canada) or (Australia) it is not, and we need to set both Short and Long time manually to match either 12 hours or 24 Hours format, otherwise we get the problem we saw.

    Since it uses both the Short and the Long time it ends up switching from 24 to 12 hours or vice versa. 😵‍💫🤷‍♂️
