Xbox Identity Provider on Canary

The problem is that they did not update all the Canary Builds with that version. I only had that version coming down on Den 26058.1400.

For Canary I had to update it manually using the .AppxBundle below. Or going back to Dev to get the update and then switch to Canary again to update to 26063.1. 😝🤬

MS is never consistent with the updates. 😂😂🤷‍♂️

Solution to Xbox Identity Provider Error 0x80073CFB in Windows 11 after Build Canary 25905+ – Maison da Silva

On Feb 26, 2024, I did a clean install of Build 26063.1 and the Xbox Identity Provider was at version 12.95.3001.0 right after the install, but it updated to the new version without any error message when I checked for update in the MS Store:

Note that I did the check for updates in the Store while it was still set to the default Dev insider channel.

Not sure if that makes any difference. 😎

I can now confirm that after a clean install of 26063, if I switch from the default Dev channel to Canary before it has a chance of updating the MS Store Apps, I get this error back.

Note that Xbox identity Provider is still the old version.

If I get in this situation the only way out is by installing the latest version manually with the AppxBundle for version 12.110.15002.0 provided by Maison da Silva,

See my last 2 posts above about more tests of clean install of 26063.

A) In 1st case while still in default Dev channel, it can update the Xbox Identity Provider without the error message.

B) If I switch to Canary before Xbox Identity Provider has a chance to get updated to 12.110.15002.0, I get back the old problem. 😂😂🤷‍♂️
