FIX: Insiders not able to switch channels - **UPDATED 8/3/2021**

Hi, I don't know what happened, I was in beta and all of a sudden it became Launch Preview Channel, can you help me?

and here is the other graphics card - which implies the error shown in WhyNotWin11 is wrong. Both GPUs show they meet Win 11 specs now. Since DirectX 12 Ultimate is for gaming and I don't game, I assume it is Feature specific and optional as described in the specs.

So unless Direct X Ultimate is required for office work, I should be good on hardware - per the specs.

But can I change from Dev to Beta? Nope! And it doesn't appear to be hardware-related - unless gaming is a requirement for office work?!

If our machines are not compatible with Windows 11 why are we running it?

Still, I ran Why Not Win 11. It said I had DirectX 12 but WDDM 1.0 - on one display adapter. I checked the other and got this. It appears Intel has not updated their drivers for their displays although the last Win11 update installed an Intel display adapter. So I'll file a bug with them and call them.

However, even if this were the case, is not being able to change from Dev to Beta the way to tell a user their machine needs an update? Seriously, blaming the hardware is the oldest, and lamest trick in the book.

It's time for MSFT to pop a dialogue box saying what the real problem is. And get the app compat team working with Intel to get the right drivers!

i'd like to left preview inseder channel and i'd like to select beta channel to try windows 11.

Hello Windows Insiders!

Windows 11 is now in the Beta Channel, and some of you are wanting to move over from the Dev Channel. We've been getting some reports that some of you are not seeing the options to change in Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program. We have a fix that should get you back on track. Please note, this fix is for devices that are not showing the Choose your Insider Settings and Windows Insider account settings, as in the image below.

If you are seeing this, please follow the steps below to restore the missing options:

1. Click on Start
2. In the search box, type cmd
3. In the lower right of the search results, under Command Prompt, click Run as Administrator
4. On the UAC prompt, click OK
5. At the elevated command prompt, type: bcdedit /set flightsigning on
6. Press Enter
7. At the elevated command prompt, type: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} flightsigning on
8. Press Enter
9. Reboot the device

You should now see the missing options:
