My Windows Security service has for the last couple of builds keeps showing as Stopped working in Reliability monitor and no longer shows in the Hidden Icons. If I go to System/System Components and Repair and/or Reset it still doesn't show in Hidden Icons on the Taskbar. If I go to Privacy & security/Windows security/Open Windows security then Windows security opens and appears normal but still not showing in the Taskbar Hidden Items. I've seen that a couple of times, but I do have Windows Security in the Hidden icons and if I open Windows Security everything shows as OK. I think sometimes these errors in Reliability Monitor are false. I've seen many that some sort of Store update fails, yet the update is just sitting in the Store waiting to be updated.

It was showing fine for a couple of minutes in the hidden icons and then disappeared and could not get it back even when I changed the settings to unhide it. So, I checked for errors and saw the same one you reported earlier. See screen shot below. 😎🤷♂️ The only way to get the Icon back was by rebooting after I changed back the setting to unhide it. 😵💫🤷♂️ If you file an FBH report on this issue I will upvote. I filed one for what I see: https://aka.ms/AApl6eo Changed back to On and rebooted to get the icon visible again. Edit: Found same error on Dev Build 26080.1400 on 03/18/2024 and reproduced again today 03/19/2024. Security Icon disappeared from hidden icons.

I've seen that a couple of times, but I do have

Windows Security in the Hidden icons and if

I open Windows Security everything shows as OK.

I think sometimes these errors in Reliability Monitor

are false. I've seen many that some sort of Store

update fails, yet the update is just sitting in the Store

waiting to be updated.

I usually don't hide the security Icon or any other icon in the system tray, but just for a test I tried to hide it.

It was showing fine for a couple of minutes in the hidden icons and then disappeared and could not get it back even when I changed the settings to unhide it.

So, I checked for errors and saw the same one you reported earlier. See screen shot below. 😎🤷‍♂️

The only way to get the Icon back was by rebooting after I changed back the setting to unhide it. 😵‍💫🤷‍♂️

Found same error on Dev Build 26080.1400 on 03/18/2024 and reproduced again today 03/19/2024.
