Chrome, Edge & Firefox, all crash and the OS becomes unresponsive, I can't recover it unless I shutdown.

Anyone else seeing this?

Update:

A temporary solution is to use recommended display resolution or change to MS basic display driver.

Unfortunately removing the driver didn't work, same behavior.

    Back to 25267 😒

    hi,

It is not a build issue. Jason has mentioned in his response. Did the crash happened while repairing? Did your device get to restart or crashed before restarting? Any error codes or messages? Please try creating a new user account to see if the issue is related to a corrupt user account.

This is the Intel one I have on my Lenovo Laptop, it is a UHD, Res 3840 x 2160:

I have the same driver but my laptop is HD520 max. res. of 1366 x 768 on the 15" display

I'm doing the in-place update as we speak.

    Hi Sibro,

    No way to get 1920 x 1080?

CK had a problem with the resolution 1600 x 900 she was using, she had to switch to 1920 x 1080 to get it to work.

This below was her post in the other thread:

" I updated my Display driver, still had the issue.

I rolled the build back, updated the Display driver 1st

and then got 25272 again, still the same issue.

It was suggested to change my resolution.

I've always used 1600x900, so changed it to 1920x1020

and it resolved the issue. Reverted it back and repro'ed again.

So, it seems that this build does not like 1600x900. "

    Edit:

I tried to reproduce the problem, with Build 25272 I tried to change resolution with my Intel graphics driver 31.0.101.2115, to 1366 x 768 and I get the browser screen all screwed up showing multiple windows of different sizes, as I move the cursor over the desktop all kind of different windows open up, had to revert back to my normal recommended resolution 3840 x 2160 to get it to work correctly, in my case it was failing also with 1920 x 1080 on this UHD screen of my desktop Dell XPS 8930.

On this Desktop I have both Intel and Nvidia, the problem only happened at first with the built in Intel adapter, I then tried with the Nvidia RTX 2060 and could reproduce the same issue in the same machine. 🤷‍♂️

Looks like there is definitely a problem using different resolution with this Build even with different display adapters. 🤬

Here is a picture taken with a camera when the screen gets all messed up just opening the web browser.

    Image

Everything goes back to normal if I change the resolution back to the recommended one of 3840 x 2160. 🤷‍♂️

With Build 25267 I don't have any of these problems with any screen resolution I choose including 1366 x 768.

    No way to get 1920 x 1080?

No, on the built-in display I can go lower but not higher.

I've given up on this issue, I don't like to force shutdown so often.

    Thanks for your support.
