Browsers crashing on 25272 to 25300 - Display Resolution Bug - Temporarily Solved

Chrome, Edge & Firefox, all crash and the OS becomes unresponsive, I can't recover it unless I shutdown.

Anyone else seeing this?

Update:

A temporary solution is to use recommended display resolution or change to MS basic display driver.

I added build 25290 to the tiltle because even though the blog calls it fixed, some users are still experiencing this bug.

    Try changing the display driver to MS basic display, it seems to work for a while at least.

    As I switched back from Intel to Nvidia display adapter, I could get the same bug again. 🤣🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

    I switched to MS basic driver and so far is working but it didn't work last time I tried. 🤷‍♂️

    What a mess! 😒

    Not a big surprise dealing with MS. 🤣🤣🤣

    At this point we just have to wait for a fix in the next build(s), the symptoms seems different depending on the configurations, but they all seem to be related to a common bug introduced with 25272.

    With the old MSI GT70 Laptop (Non-Compliant) I don't have any issue with any resolution that I select. 🤣🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

    For some tests with an external screen with the Lenovo Yoga laptop I just use a standard TV, I have a small Lenovo Adapter from USB-C to HDMI. 😉

    I too used to use my TV but it's an old 42" plasma without HDMI and I don't have a VGA adapter.

    Even if I had one, I doubt it would display at high resolution.

    We'll see what happens next week.

    Upvote CK FBH, I don't know how they could screw up such basic functionality like screen resolution.

    So much for MS internal testing! 🤣😝 🤷‍♂️

    No way to get 1920 x 1080?

    No, on the built-in display I can go lower but not higher.

    I've given up on this issue, I don't like to force shutdown so often.

    This build 25272 is just broken in more than one place, we'll see what happens on next Build. 🤐🤷‍♂️

    Very frustrating. I've been trying many different scenarios since the release to no avail, same result every time.

    On my last attempt, I managed to capture the errors that occur during a clean install first desktop.

    These must be the culprits or this build has something new that my laptop doesn't like.
